ABOUT THE LAW FIRM

In 1994 Santiago Martin became a member of the office of the Law Firm Jose Medio located at Tenerife. The said Law Firm was specialized in foreign investments and kept offices at London, Marbella and Denia.

In 2007 Santiago Martin became single member and owner of the office of the Law Firm José Medio Abogados located at Tenerife.

The Law Firm is specialized in finding legal solutions for foreign natural persons and legal entities located in Spain.

The Law Firm is mainly addressed to the real-estate area in all its stages (purchase and legal transactions related to properties, property development, leasing, condominiums, management of properties and buildings), civil law, company and corporate law, banking law, family law and inheritance law, specific branches of administrative law (tourism and constructions) and bankruptcy law.

Our Law Firm profile has been defined along the years, as a response to the challenges exposed by our clients.

In order to achieve successful solutions to our clients, the Law Firm has had to go into detail and acquire further knowledge about foreign legal institutions.

The direction of the Law Firm is divided in a double sphere:

Legal transactions, documents, agreements, advising.
Litigation- judicial

This is NOT a generalist Law Firm, we only deal with the areas of law previously defined as professional work area.

This Law Firm provides litigation services before the Court and in relation to the issues and subjects previously defined as professional work area.

The combination of this knowledge and skills allows us to provide our clients a serious and solid advice, in order to solve the eventual controversies and avoid future litigation.

In the same way, if a client wants or has to raise a dispute in Spain, the Firm can provide the client with litigation services concerning the subjects defined in the professional work area.

During all these years of experience, the Firm has built up experiences with clients of different nationalities (British, German, Belgian, Austrian, Irish, Belgian, Italian, Dutch, Luxembourger, Danish, Norwegian, Swiss, Swedish, Finnish, Russian, Czech, Polish, Romanian, Chinese, Portuguese, American) reaching in all cases an optimal level of satisfaction of our clients.

In this Law Firm does not exist a predetermined clients’ profile.
Even if most of the clients of this Law Firm are natural persons or families, the Firm also take on further types of clients as foreign entities, foreign TRUSTS, clubs, Condominium owner´s association, foreign credit entities, multinational entities related to the leisure industry, insurance companies and foreign states (the Firm has provided services to these sort of entities several times).

The Law Firm offers exclusively legal services related with Spanish Law. Therefore, its Lawyers are provided with a Law Degree as well as other specific additional training.

Lawyers are duly registered in the Bar Association and therefore, they are enabled to represent the clients before the Spanish Courts and entitled to practice law in Spain.

Fundamentally, the work of the Firm is mainly addressed to a regional area (Canary Islands), however the Firm has also represented clients out of this regional sphere.
